Tell Me Who Your Friends Are
“Tell me who your friends are and I tell you who you are.” have
you ever encountered people saying this phrase? What kind of friends do you
have? Are you in right circle? “Same fever flocks together.”
It says in the bible Ecclesiastes
4:9-10(NIV) “Two are better than one, because
they have a good return for their labor: If either of them falls down, one can help
the other up. But pity anyone who falls and has no one to help them up.” We
are born in this world not to do life alone that’s why friendship is very
important to our lives. But there are friends who will get you up or maybe will
knock you down. What kind of friends do you have? Do they help you to be a
better person or they help you to become a person you've never imagine.
What is a real friend? A real friend
makes your "life better". They should make you a better person. Is not about “if
you really love me you should accept
who I really am.” No it’s correcting each other’s fault with love and
compassion. Because they believe in you
that you are better than that, that you have a "magnificent potential" not a life of trash. Real
friends get you closer to God why? Because only God can restore, only God can
renew you. Only in the love of God you will be full filled. A real friend will
make a way for you to know God and make a way to strengthen your relationship
with Him. When you’re broken and the world is against you, a friend will fight
for you and will always be there for you no matter what it is. He or she must
always be on call 24/7. A friend will comfort you and will help you to move on.
And he or she must be wise. Wiser enough to say this is wrong we should not do this or that. Wiser enough to say we have great destiny ahead of us. And has a courage to say that " hey friend we should stop doing this." even it hurts you. He or she must know what's the meaning of real love in order for him or her to receive and give love. Have an ear to listen to your complains, to your pains, and to your heart aches. Have a time to enjoy every moment, every laughter, every tear fall.
A friend should not be comfortable
in doing bad or evil things; a friend should not be easily angered. He or she
must not do war or should a say he or she must not love fighting physically or
even by words. They should not love gossips, or even talk behind other persons
back. Why? If they can do this to others they can do this to you also.
For me friendship is one of the greatest give in this world it's just a living proof that we are meant for something better and we are not meant to be alone.
So what kind of a friend are you? Tell me who your friends are and I’ll tell you who you are. Do you need to change? Maybe it’s time to change your mindset and change your circle of friends. Or if you want better, be the change in your friend circle.. J I hope and pray this help you out.
